Meet HRCU's Rochester Branch Manager, Amy Vaillancourt! Amy oversees everything in the branch to make sure things run smoothly and efficiently. Serving the people of Rochester and helping them navigate their financial challenges is a something Amy is proud to take on every day.

What is your role at HRCU?

As Branch Manager, I make sure that our branch operates smoothly and efficiently every day. I help answer members' questions, big and small. I make sure our branch operations comply with banking regulations, and I love seeing our members smiling faces every day.

What makes you passionate about your work?

My professional banking career started after I was a stay-at-home mom for 16 years. I wanted a job where I would be home at night and be able to be with my family as much as possible. When I was hired at HRCU I started as a teller and quickly advanced through different positions to my current position of Branch Manager. My love of money started when I was very young. My dad taught me how to save, invest and be prepared for the future. He was always up for a conversation about money! To this day I drive my family crazy talking about money. I love what I do and how I can help members achieve their financial goals.

How do you and your team help members reach their financial goals?

"Here at HRCU we are always looking for ways to help our members financially. We often talk with members about debt consolidation, opening CD's and how we can better their financial wellness and ultimately achieve their goals. Sometimes, members just need a quick transaction with a teller. Sometimes, they need an in-depth discussion with a Financial Services Advisor. No matter what, we're here to help manage their money the best way they can."

Lastly, what are some things you enjoy outside of work?

"Outside of work I love spending time with my family, going on vacations and I enjoy baking. I enjoy reading articles on banking to grow my knowledge as there is always something new to learn."
