Meet Crystal, our Dover Branch Manager! In her role, Crystal manages all the day-to-day operations of our Dover Branch and helps coach and develop her team as they work together to meet the needs of our members.
What is your role at HRCU?
"I am the branch manager of the Dover branch at HRCU. I'm responsible for all day-to-day operations of the branch, deposit and loan growth, and the coaching & development of my team. I work closely with my tellers to build positive and meaningful relationships with all HRCU members and members of the community."
What makes you passionate about your work?
"I started my banking career in 2009 as a teller of a local bank and grew my role to an assistant manager. In 2018, I joined HRCU as an assistant manager and a year later progressed to branch manager. I started this career path because I understand how finances play an important role in people's lives, and it affects many people on a daily basis. Having healthy finances can truly set the tone for an individual's overall wellbeing. I love helping my members reach financial goals, especially in teens and young adults. My goal is to help them get started on the right foot and give them all the tools they need to be successful."
How do you and your team help members reach their financial goals?
"Aside from processing everyday teller transactions, my team and I help members by educating them on products and services that might benefit them. There are financial products out there that can help individuals save money and even make money. There are also some that offer people convenience and help them save time. And lastly, there are those products that offer that valuable peace of mind. We build relationships with our members and get to know them at a level that allows us to recognize their individual needs."
Lastly, what are some things you enjoy outside of work?
"During my free time, I love to refinish or repurpose old furniture, browse around antique stores, and spend time outside hiking or fishing with my kids."
