Primary Responsibilities:
The primary purpose of this position is to assist HRCU in achieving our vision by “facilitating financial success and financial wellness” with every member, every time. Additional responsibilities: Serves as a liaison between the member and the credit union. Provides account information, opens new accounts, cross services additional products and services, interviews, processes, and disburses loans. Provides a variety of transaction services to the member with exceptional member service. May be responsible for branch opening and closing.
Essential Functions:
- Interviews members to obtain information and explain available financial products and services, such as savings and checking accounts, Individual Retirement Accounts, Certificates of Deposit, Business and Non-profit accounts. Ensures all proper documentation and procedures are followed.
- Knowledgeable in tax favored accounts, IRAs and HSAs. Ability to accurately process contributions, withdrawals, rollovers and other transactions.
- Research and problem solves to resolve member account issues.
- Member contact for VISA credit and debit card related questions, issues and or concerns. Works directly with credit union VISA support to resolve outstanding issues. Works with essential affiliated third-party vendor software.
- Seeks and recognizes opportunities to educate members and cross sell products and services
- Displays a professional appearance and demeanor while representing the credit union both internally and externally in the community.
- Lives out Credit Union mission by demonstrating compassion, embracing innovation, remaining flexible and delivering exceptional service
- Meet all referral and sales goals as established by HRCU.
Requirements
Education: Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
Experience: Minimum 1 year in a financial institution, with progressive customer service experience.
Qualifications: Possess clear communication skills with importance of discretion, accuracy and clarity. Possess ability to work with deadlines and in a team environment. Must be proficient in computers and the ability to multi-task.
