Personal Loans
At HRCU, we understand the stress and uncertainty that a government shutdown can create, especially when paychecks are delayed.
That’s why we’ve created a personal loan program to provide relief, stability, and peace of mind for HRCU members who are federal employees affected by the government shutdown.
How it Works:
Visit us at your local branch or contact our Member Support at 603-332-6840 to get started.
*APR=Annual Percentage Rate. For qualified borrowers, APR is equal to 0% during the length of the government shutdown. To qualify for Government Shutdown Personal Loan, must be an existing HRCU member in good standing, and a government employee with verified federal direct deposit. Eligible loan amount is based off last federal direct deposit amount. No credit pull is required. Loan balance will be due upon receiving next federal direct deposit, or, upon the ending of the government shutdown, at the members request, the loan can be converted to a 12-month (twelve) personal loan with a fixed APR of 8.99%. HRCU reserves the right to adjust or end this program at any time.
Skip A Payment on your HRCU Loan
If you have an existing HRCU loan, you may be eligible to skip an upcoming payment with no fees. This option is designed to give you some financial breathing room while your income is affected.
How it Works:
To apply, simply fill out the Skip A Payment Application and return it to us by dropping it off at a branch or emailing it to consumerlending@hrcu.org.
Penalty-Free Withdrawal
If you have an HRCU Certificate of Deposit (CD), you can make a one-time, penalty-free withdrawal to access your funds when you need them most.
How it Works:
Visit us at your local branch or contact our Member Support at 603-332-6840 to get started.
